Guest Article: Cards to Combat the Next Meta

Today, we have a guest article written by a really good friend, sometimes teammate of mine, and fellow average duelist, abosspanda.

Hey there everyone! abosspanda here with an article for you guys to look over and maybe get a little insight on a few card choices for this upcoming format. So without further ado here it is.

Quick Post: A New Way to Duel Online

If you're anything like me, you don't always have the time, cards, and/or opportunity to get out to locals or gather with friends for a few games. A lot of players turn to online dueling to try new decks, test new cards they don't have yet, or just to have some fun. You can find my article about online dueling HERE. I recently found out about a new program that takes all the work out of online dueling, called YGOPro, and even though I haven't had much time to mess with it yet, it looks pretty great and easy to use.

Since I really can't say a lot about it yet, I'll leave it to you to check it out if you haven't done so already. Take a look at DevPro admin, AccessDenied's blog at DevPro.org to see some interesting articles and get acquainted with YGOPro DevPro.

March 2013 or "How Konami Screwed the Players to Push Product"

It's been quite a while, but if there's anything that can get me back on the yugiwebs, it's ban list season. I'm sure you all know the list we'll be playing with for the next six months, and I'm sure a lot of you are just as unhappy about it as I am. The list doesn't affect my deck, but it affects me as a player. First, lets take a look at the changes.

Death of the Turbo Pack

Tournament-exclusive packs have always been a big part of Yugioh. At first, they were the only way to get exclusive cards like Mechanicalchaser and Morphing Jar. Later on, it was also a way to get great reprints. The latest iteration, the Turbo Pack, is the best way to foil out your deck with cards like Dark Hole and Book of Moon getting rarity bumps.

Konami Giveth and Konami Taketh Away

Warning: This article is going to be sloppy because I don't have a lot of time, but please enjoy :)

What can I say about ban list time that I haven't already said in another post? It's here, and as always, is making some major changes for the game. The biggest decks this format have been Dino Rabbit, Inzektors, Wind-Ups (early format), and Chaos Dragons. Amazingly, this list deals with all of these major decks, at least a little bit. Now, on to the list!
